Dr. Brooks Mendell is President and Founder of Forisk Consulting. He has nearly 20 years of consulting, operating, and equity research experience in forestry, wood bioenergy, and the timber industry. His experience includes roles in harvest operations and procurement with Weyerhaeuser, in management consulting with Accenture, and as a member of the forestry and finance faculties at the University of Georgia. He earned B.S. and M.S. degrees at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA at the University of California at Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Forest Finance at the University of Georgia.
Amanda Hamsley Lang
Amanda Hamsley Lang is a Partner and Senior Consultant at Forisk, and serves as Managing Editor of Wood Bioenergy US. Amanda directs Forisk’s wood bioenergy research activities. Prior to working with Forisk, she interned with International Paper and conducted forestry operations research at the Warnell School of Forest Resources under Dr. Dale Greene. Amanda received BS and MS degrees in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia.
